Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing Policy
Purpose and Commitment
Eden Group is committed to acting ethically and responsibly in all that we do.
We believe every person should be treated with dignity and respect, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. Although we are not legally required to publish a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we recognise the importance of awareness and accountability. Our ambition is to take practical, proportionate steps that help ensure our business and those we work with operate free from exploitation.Definition of Modern Slavery
A serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights - including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking - where people are exploited for personal or commercial gain. Our Organisation and Supply Chains
Eden Group operates across several connected ventures including Eden.co.uk, Christian360, Eden Interactive, and Publish360. Our activities cover online retail, digital services, and publishing support for churches, ministries, and the wider Christian community. Our supply chains primarily involve UK-based publishers, service providers, and technology partners, with some international manufacturers and distributors. We recognise that risks may be greater where goods are produced overseas or when using subcontracted labour.Assessing and Managing Risk
We aim to identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery by:
•Understanding who our suppliers are and where they operate
•Giving preference to trusted, transparent partners
•Asking higher-risk suppliers to confirm compliance with labour standards
•Taking proportionate action if concerns are raisedOur approach is evolving as our understanding of potential risk areas improves.
Due Diligence and Supplier Expectations
We expect our suppliers to share our commitment to ethical conduct. As our processes develop, we intend to:
•Request that suppliers confirm they do not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking
•Include suitable clauses in supplier agreements where appropriate
•Review supply relationships that present increased risk
We acknowledge this as an area of ongoing improvement rather than one of completed assurance.Awareness and Training
We aim to raise awareness of modern slavery within Eden Group and encourage staff to recognise signs of potential exploitation. Over time, we will provide basic guidance or signpost trusted resources (such as those from Unseen UK and the Home Office) to help colleagues understand how to identify and report concerns.Reporting Concerns
Eden Group encourages anyone who suspects that modern slavery or human trafficking may be occurring in our business or supply chains to report their concerns confidentially to the Managing Director or a member of the leadership team. Reports will be handled sensitively and investigated appropriately. No individual will face detrimental treatment for raising a genuine concern in good faith.Review and Continuous Improvement
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains proportionate and effective as our business and supply chains evolve. Our ambition is to deepen awareness, strengthen our supplier expectations, and continue to act responsibly as we grow.
